As a Telecom Engineer with 7 years of experience in facility management and university campus settings, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I am currently the Telecom Engineer at Sunnybank University, servicing 400 staff across 2 campuses. Mirroring your requirements, I perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming for PBX systems and associated devices. This entails conducting preventive maintenance (battery back-up systems, voice mail, ACD system), performing traffic analyses, and liaising with departments to analyze requirements. I also install, terminate, and test cabling and monitor emerging technologies. An accomplishment I am particular proud of is project managing a major system upgrade/expansion, which I delivered >3 months early and saving 24% of the total projected cost. 

In addition to my experience, I hold a Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering. As well as networking, I am familiar with SIP Trunking and emerging telephony technology such VoIP and wireless. I also have experience with supporting voice mail applications.

I have enjoyed my time at Sunnybank. As the university has switched to online learning for the next year, my position is no longer active. I am therefore seeking a new full-time opportunity with another stimulating organization.
