Civil Engineering Technician Cover Letter Example

As a qualified Civil Engineer with 3 years of experience, I apply with great interest for this opportunity.

I am currently a Junior Civil Engineer at the civil and building construction consultancy BGE, Inc., where I work on site development design related to commercial, residential, institutional, industrial, and retail projects. Mirroring the requirements of your role, I:

• Develop and produce detailed construction plans, technical drawings, and cost estimates for projects (~$20m)
• Support planning, technical issues, RFls, submittals, and material approvals
• Manage site layout, grading, utility, sewer, stormwater, and erosion/sediment control design permitting

In addition to my experience, I hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering. I am familiar with all software in your ad (AutoCAD, Asana, MicroStation). As well as fluent French, I also speak basic Russian.

As there are currently no career progression opportunities available at BGE, I am now seeking a position where I can take on more responsibility, including more direct involvement with clients and design planning.
