Since I knew a few details of the recent past surrounding Hoist Group, which "absorbed" Swisscom, where I knew a few people, I was very pleased to find out about this employment possibility, since I perceive your Organization as being a strong player in the field its activities take place (the Hospitality industry).

I believe that my strong background in the Networking and Reporting areas make me an appropriate candidate for the advertised position. As you can see in the attached Curriculum Vitae (resume), over the course of the years I have been working in the Telecom industry, in strong companies like NOS SGPS and Vodafone Portugal, having a +10 years background on IT related jobs, building a solid networking base at first, and naturally evolving to more analytical and management-based positions. Although I don't have a solid SQL knowledge, a few months ago I signed myself up, at my own expenses, for a 1,5 years Business Intelligence Academy in the Centro de Formação Galileu, near your Alvalade offices and starting in November, with the hope that I would strengthen up my skills, career and position in the Data Analytics/Business Intelligence market, the area that is definitely where I am tailored to strive. The first modules and exams of this Academy will be SQL-related, so I will acquire the demanded SQL knowledge soon enough, not having to wait until the end of the course.

I'm a very adaptable and responsible person, with well-founded standards in terms of quality, and I've always stood out as being a fast-learner and having an analytical mind, and I perceive this employment opportunity as a significant upgrade in my career, since Hoist Group is a leading company in the field. I also believe that I can help the company grow, and that can only be achieved when co-workers play a key role in the company's strategy.
