Dear Hiring Manager,

As a seasoned film critic with 17 years of experience covering the latest releases for newspapers and platforms such as The Afternoon Herald, Sunnybank Times, Halliwell Post, and Action Online, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

Until recently, I was the Movie Critic for the Halliwell Post, where I was given the freedom to select which releases to review. My role involved watching the films twice to fully analyze acting, plot development, writing, directing, editing, and cinematography. I also assigned each movie a star rating on a scale of 1-5. Due to the popularity of my humorous pieces, I have often been invited to speak on podcasts, TV programs, radio shows, and entertainment review platforms across the US.

I am also an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at the University of Sunnybank, where I teach courses in film studies and entertainment journalism. In addition to my professional and academic experience, I hold a Bachelor of Journalism and am a member of the National Society of Film Critics.

Unfortunately, the Halliwell Post has closed its doors after 128 years. I now seek another stimulating opportunity to help audiences determine whether or not they should view the latest releases.
