As an Elementary School Principal with three decades of school leadership and teaching expertise, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I am currently the Principal of Sunnybank Elementary School in Dayton, OH, where I have promoted a robust academic environment, integrated the latest technology to enhance learning and teaching delivery, and role model strong moral values for our school of 650 students and 45 personnel.

During my time at Sunnybank I have ensured the alignment of our CTE offerings, which has directly contributed to the significant increase in students completing pathways. I encourage a range of traditional and progressive methodology in the planning and delivery of instruction, with an emphasis on pedagogically-focused learning solutions that seamlessly integrate new technology and encourage an innovative use of resources to enhance learning inside and outside the classroom.

Prior to Sunnybank Elementary School, I held a number of increasingly-responsible leadership positions in several school districts throughout Ohio, including those of Principal and Director of Curriculum. In each of these roles, I sought to inculcate academic excellence, a supportive teaching environment, as well as a spirit of genuine community among the student population. 

In addition to my experience, I hold an MA in Educational Leadership and a BA in Elementary Education. To further develop my leadership expertise in response to changing global, social, economic and educational trends, I am currently completing a Master of Educational Psychology.
