As an Adjunct Art Lecturer and Doctorate of Visual Arts graduate, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I am currently a part-time Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Sunnybank, where I teach undergraduate Ceramics courses in Moldmaking and Slipcasting and Figure Modeling. I employ a range of traditional and progressive methodology in the planning and delivery of instruction in physical and virtual settings, with an emphasis on experiential learning opportunities. 

I see myself as an educator, not just an instructor. I promote a flexible, supportive, and dynamic learning environment and encourage students to challenge material and ask how we can use our knowledge to question the artistic choices we make. I am particularly pleased at the average 97% pass rate my students achieve.

In addition to my lecturing experience and doctorate, I hold a Master of Contemporary Art and a Bachelor of Ceramic Design. As an active artist, I recently exhibited my designs at the Swan Gallery in Colorado. My work can be viewed at www.candidatename.com. I also organize and lead children’s ceramics classes, camps, workshops, and family programs for the gallery.

I now seek a full-time Assistant Ceramics Professor opportunity that will enable me to deliver stimulating courses to the next generation of visual art professionals.
