As a Professor of Environmental Sciences with 7 years of teaching and research experience, I apply with enthusiasm for this visiting professor opportunity.

I am currently the Professor of Environmental Sciences within the University of Sunnybank’s Faculty of Biotechnology and Environment, where my focus is on teaching and research that drives environmental and social change. Modules that I teach at undergraduate level include Postglacial Environments, Climatic Change and Energy Planning, Biodiversity Conservation, Terrestrial and Water Ecology, Natural Hazards, and Environmental Pollution and Management, while at post-graduate level I teach Applied Energy Economics, Environmental Analysis, and Energy Management.

Specific research areas I focus on include the social and legal aspects of the environment and energy planning, particularly the complexity of the human-environment relationship. Furthermore, I researched and wrote "Chapter 2: Energy Planning" in Erick Miska’s (2017) Environmental and Social Change in the 21st Century (Persimmon Press). I also completed fieldwork and conducted interviews with environmental scientists and microbiology experts across Europe for the University of Sunnybank’s Environmental Heritage Report. 

In addition to my research and teaching experience, I hold a Doctorate of Environmental Sciences, a Master of Biotechnology, and a Bachelor of Environment and Society.

I have enjoyed my time at Sunnybank, and am grateful for the excellent research and teaching opportunities offered. I am now seeking a stimulating visiting professor role that will enable me to drive sustainable energy and climate planning through hands-on teaching and scholarly activities.
