Adjunct Faculty Biology Cover Letter Example

As a Doctorate of Genetics graduate with a strong interest in cancer biology and human genetics, I apply with enthusiasm for this adjunct opportunity.

I am currently a Research Coordinator at the University of Sunnybank’s Office of Immunology, where my focus is on the immunology of infectious diseases. Prior to this, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology, where in addition to instructional and lesson planning, I graded papers and tests, proctored labs, and held office hours.

As well as my instructional duties, I assisted with the research and writing of "Chapter 2: Basic Immunologic Mechanisms " in Erick Miska’s (2017) Immunology in the 21st Century - Challenges and Solutions (Persimmon Press). 

In addition to 6 years of research and teaching experience and my recent doctorate, I hold a Master of Biology. I have also attended numerous professional workshops and courses.

I have enjoyed my time at the University of Sunnybank, and am grateful for the excellent research and teaching opportunities offered. I now seek an adjunct role that will enable me to deliver stimulating courses to the next generation of biologists.
