As a Funeral Attendant with 4 years of experience in assisting Funeral Directors during services and visitations, I apply with great interest for this opportunity.

I am currently a Funeral Attendant at Sunnybank Chapel, where I help arrange and assist with funeral and memorial services, viewings, and transferring remains from the place of death to the chapel. During services, I receive families and guests with empathy and kindness, and assist the Funeral Director in moving caskets in and out of the visitation area, chapel, and hearse. I also drive the hearse during funeral processions.

After the death of my parents, I was hugely grateful for the sympathy and calm practicality of funeral staff. The impression this left inspired me to become a Funeral Attendant so that I could provide the same care to other grievers. I have met so many amazing people doing this job and have gained an incredible appreciation for the power of love, family, and friendship. It gives me an enormous amount of satisfaction to be there for others when they need support the most.
