Application for Senior Business and Fiscal Planning Specialist

Dear Hiring Manager,

As a Senior Business and Fiscal Planning Specialist with over a decade of expertise working in federal government, most recently at leadership level, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I am currently the Finance & Governance Lead at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where I have worked for the past 3 years. Prior to this, I worked within the Department’s Office of Domestic Finance as a Finance Analyst for 5 years and the Office of Tax Policy for 2 years as a Tax Specialist before being promoted to my current role.  

Mirroring the requirements of your vacancy, I have strong experience in strategically coordinating the work of financial staff and multi-disciplinary stakeholders in federal settings. I possess exceptional knowledge of and experience in federal accounting principles and public sector accounting practices. I have a deep understanding of the government’s fiscal planning cycle, resource allocation, financial analysis and management, reporting and briefing preparation, and the linkages between ministries, agencies, and decision-making processes. 

In addition to my experience, I hold a Master in Controllership and CPA / CMA qualifications. I am also currently pursuing a Certificate in Auditing, which I anticipate completing in the coming weeks.
