As a former School Teacher and current K-12 Curriculum Writer with 5 years of experience in developing and revising academic instructional materials for school districts, particularly within STEM, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity. 

In my current role as a Curriculum Writer with the Department of Education, I energetically develop subject-specific learning sequences linked to the state curriculum to provide teachers with greater flexibility as they deliver current integrated learning sequences. I am also involved in curriculum writing projects such as the development of rubrics, teaching resources, and templates.

For me, this is not just a job – it is an area of unwavering passion. I am deeply familiar with the Department of Education’s mandate to provide educational leadership in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, ensure strategic planning and project oversight, professional learning for teachers, school leaders and others, and work with educational teams to provide high quality curriculum implementation and support.
