As an Animal Control Director with 8 years of experience in local government and humane society settings, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I am currently the Senior Animal Control Officer at Sunnybank County Council, where I lead a team of 7 in responding to complaints about animal abuse/neglect, as well as emergency police calls. This entails setting traps, removing dead animals, euthanizing animals, and completing paperwork. I am used to dealing with uncontrolled animals, emotional owners, and members of the public. This builds upon my time as an Animal Welfare Worker at Halliwell Humane Society, where I processed incoming animals, fed them and administered medication, and oversaw the adoption process.

In addition to my experience, I hold a Level 3 Animal Welfare Officer Diploma. My performance reviews reflect my excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills, as well as my ability to quickly defuse tense situations and negotiate satisfactory resolutions. 

I am eager to progress in my career by stepping into a Board position.
