Application for Taper

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to apply for the Taper position advertised on your website.

I am currently a Trainee Taper at Halliwell Construction, where I work on renovation projects for care homes, new build developments, and commercial/residential extensions. Under the supervision of Site Managers, I carefully apply wallboards and seal wallboard joints to a high standard.

As well as being good with my hands, I follow instructions carefully, am safety conscious, and am comfortable working at height. I have my own tools, a CSCS card, and full PPE. I am also currently completing City & Guilds qualifications in Plastering, Painting & Decorating, and Construction.

My traineeship is nearly complete, so I am now seeking a full-time taper opportunity.
