As a Teacher Aide with 2 years of experience in private and public school settings, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

In my most recent position as a Teacher Aide at Sunnybank Middle School, I supported the Year 3 teacher and 31 students. Mirroring your requirements, I created and implemented lesson plans and classroom materials, checked homework, supervised excursions, and marked mid-term assessments. Drawing upon my qualification in special needs education, I also held the role of Learning Support Specialist. Prior to this, I was a Year 4 Teacher Aide at Pentz Academy for one year.

My approach is based on a student-centred pedagogy, leveraging educational research and evidence-based learning practices. I proactively develop strong collaborative relationships with teachers to enable a harmonious approach in the classroom. I see it as crucial to establish protocol early on, to ensure that students receive the best possible educational experience to enable them to reach their full potential, not only as students but as fulfilled individuals.

I am a highly-effective communicator who is equally at home utilizing written or oral communication in the pursuit of successfully achieving desired outcomes. As someone who is extremely proficient with technology, I am a huge advocate of incorporating pedagogically-focused software, digital communications, and other technologies into the learning environment.

In addition to my Bachelor of Education, I hold a Special Education Teaching Certification and have completed several professional development courses in ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia.
