I began my career as a high school Mathematics Teacher in Wisconsin before relocating to Germany for 2 years to work as the Head of Mathematics and International Baccalaureate Diploma Coordinator for an international school. After moving back to the US and completing my Master degree, I joined the private Pentz Academy in Ohio as the Year 3 Classroom Teacher.

I see myself as an educator, not just a teacher. I encourage students to question their actions, the way that others live, and how we can use our knowledge to question the choices we make. I actively foster collaborations with school leadership and fellow teachers that promote a flexible, supportive, and dynamic learning environment. I am particularly pleased with championing the implementation of the cloud-based EduPage school management system for teachers, students, and parents. 

In addition to my teaching experience and Master of Middle School Education, I hold a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education (Mathematics). I regularly build upon my theoretical and practical knowledge through attending professional workshops, conferences, and courses.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pentz Academy, and particularly appreciate the freedom I have been given to take initiative and implement improvements in curriculum delivery.
