As a Middle School Classroom Teacher with 7 years of teaching experience, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I began my career as a Mathematics Teacher in Wisconsin before relocating to Germany for 2 years to work as the Head of Mathematics and International Baccalaureate Diploma Coordinator for an international school. After moving back to the US and completing my Master of Middle School Education, I joined Pentz Middle School in Ohio as the Year 3 Classroom Teacher.

I see myself as an educator, not just a teacher. I encourage students to question their actions, the way that others live, and how we can use our knowledge to question the choices we make. I actively foster collaborations with school leadership and fellow teachers that promote a flexible, supportive, and dynamic learning environment. I am particularly pleased with championing the implementation of the cloud-based EduPage school management system for teachers, students, and parents. 

In addition to my experience and Master of Middle School Education, I hold a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education (Mathematics). I regularly build upon my theoretical and practical knowledge through attending and presenting at professional workshops, conferences, and courses.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pentz, and particularly appreciate the freedom I have been given to implement improvements in curriculum delivery. As the school is switching to online learning for the coming school year, I am seeking a stimulating in-person opportunity at another school. After researching your school in detail, I feel confident about our mutual fit.
