How to write your own Interior Designer resume?
1. Demonstrate an extensive designer’s toolbox
Anyone who works with spatial design has to be able to use appropriate tools to start and finish the entire creative process that precedes a final result. Therefore, it is very recommended that you equip your resume with a list specifying which of these tools you can use and how good you are at using them. Remember you aren’t limited to listing just technical tools like visualizing software but also other things which could prove to be useful. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is always a plus.
Interior Designer Technical Skills Example
"Autocad 2D - Excellent"
"3D Max - Very Good"
"Revit Architecture - Very Good"
"Sketch Up - Good"
"Adobe Photoshop - Good"
"Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) - Very good"
"Interior Designer - Excellent"
2. Show that you’ve had enough experience to hone your practice
A well-experienced designer is that much more valuable to a recruiter as experience allows them to effectively get through the tasks which do not amount to the “real” work getting done. Experienced designer will sort out logistical issues, statics, and such banal niches quickly so that things can get moving. If you are a designer with more than a year of experience, you can be sure that the people who are looking at your CV will not just simply glance over it.

This strategy once again bets on the fact that recruiters try to hire people who can fulfill their duties effectively. In professions such as this, it is crucial that one has a good grasp of the very basics of design or architecture. Good grades from an institution of higher education or certificates of excellence can easily get this point across and gain you a couple of extra points.
