As an Art Teacher with 6 years of K-12 experience, alongside 5 years of experience as an Artist and Art Program Coordinator, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I am currently a Teaching Artist at Findlater Museum & Galleries in Sunnybank, where I visit schools across the district to guide students interested in exploring challenging themes through art. I provide mentorship, support, and feedback on the work they create, helping them find ways to push their ideas still further. I am passionate about introducing students to a broad range of media to expand their horizons, including painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, and sculpture. I aim to ignite a love for art by making projects highly enjoyable and developmentally appropriate.

This experience has given me a strong understanding of effective program planning and evaluating student outcomes and assessments, working closely with teachers, and mentoring a wide range of ages and abilities. I find it a privilege and pleasure to work creatively with the next generation.

In addition to my teaching experience, I hold an MFA and a Bachelor of Education. Art is my passion! Most recently, I exhibited my paintings at the Swan Gallery in Colorado. I have enjoyed my time at Findlater. As schools have switched to online learning for the next school year, I am seeking an in-person opportunity with an equally-stimulating institution.
