Adjunct Faculty Education Cover Letter Example

Dear Hiring Manager,

As a Doctorate of Education graduate with a strong interest in early childhood education, I apply with enthusiasm for this adjunct opportunity.

I am currently a Research Coordinator at the University of Sunnybank’s Office of Childhood Development, where my focus is on early childhood education policy and implementation. Prior to this, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, where in addition to instructional and lesson planning, I graded papers and tests, proctored labs, and held office hours.

As well as my instructional duties, I assisted with the research and writing of "Chapter 2: Promises and Problems" in Erick Miska’s (2017) Early Childhood Education - Challenges and Solutions (Persimmon Press). 

In addition to 6 years of research and teaching experience and my recent doctorate, I hold a Master of Early Childhood Education. I have also attended numerous professional workshops and courses.

I have enjoyed my time at the University of Sunnybank, and am grateful for the excellent research and teaching opportunities offered. I am now seeking an adjunct role that will enable me to deliver stimulating early childhood education courses to the next generation of education professionals.
