As a certified Superintendent in the state of California with three decades of teaching and campus leadership expertise, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I am currently the Principal at Sunnybank High School, where I proactively promote a robust academic environment, integrate the latest technology to enhance learning and teaching delivery, and role model strong moral values for 850 students and 45 staff. During my time at Sunnybank I have ensured the alignment of our CTE offerings, which has directly contributed to the significant increase in students completing pathways. I also spearheaded the introduction of virtual learning software, blended learning, and a highly-successful Restorative Discipline model campus-wide. 

Prior to Sunnybank, I held a number of increasingly-responsible elementary and middle school positions in California and Arizona, including those of Principal, Director of Curriculum, and Director of Human Resources. In each of these roles, I sought to inculcate academic excellence, a supportive teaching environment, as well as a spirit of genuine community among the student population. I have developed a strong reputation for my coaching and communication skills, combined with astute decision-making, administration, and financial management abilities.

In addition to my Superintendent Certification, I hold an MA in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and a BA in Secondary Education. I am actively committed to continual self and professional development, as demonstrated by my lengthy track record in presenting and attending an extensive range of professional development training.

I am now seeking a dynamic opportunity to combine my Superintendent qualification and extensive expertise in teaching and school leadership. I believe that I have the necessary knowledge, skills, and drive to provide direction, stimulate action, and protect the learning interests of students, as well as to mentor and guide future leaders in the district.
