As an Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Doctorate of Medicinal & Analytical Chemistry graduate, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I am currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Sunnybank, where I teach undergraduate Foundations of Medicinal Chemistry and Introduction to Physiology and Pharmacology. I am also a Research Coordinator in the Department of Pharmacology, where I participate in a number of exciting projects sponsored by industry and government. These typically involve the design, development, and synthesis of pharmaceutical drugs, as well as evaluating existing drug properties.

Per your requirements, I am familiar with the synthesis of small molecules as ligands for biological targets including kinases, G protein-coupled receptors, ion channels, and antimicrobial targets.

I have enjoyed my time at the university, and am grateful for the excellent research opportunities offered. I now seek an industry role that will enable me to focus on longer-term R&D goals.
