As a former Recreation Coordinator with 2 years of experience working with senior citizens, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity to provide nutritious meals and daily contact to the elderly.

In my most recent position as Recreation Assistant at Sunnybank Seniors Centre, I created and implemented individual and group recreation programs for 70 members, drawing upon my extensive knowledge of social work and creative arts therapy. During my time here, I became friendly with many of our members and gained insight into their home life and living circumstances. 

While many seniors enjoy an active and comfortable lifestyle, my attention was also drawn to those who lived alone, had physical or financial limitations, and on occasion were clearly missing meals or not eating nutritiously. When I saw your advertisement for a Meals on Wheels Driver, I knew this was the perfect opportunity for me to help home-bound seniors gain access to decent food.

In addition to my professional experience with seniors, I hold a Bachelor of Social Work. I hold a clean driver’s license and have previously passed background checks successfully.
