As an Athletics Director and Head of Physical & Health Education with 10 years of international leadership and teaching experience, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I began my career as a Physical Education Teacher at a private college in Dublin, Ireland. I then worked as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in a hospital in the UK before relocating to Germany, where I joined Elite Academy in Dresden as their Physical Education Teacher. I was subsequently promoted to Athletics Director and am now Head of the Physical Education Department.

In my current role, I direct day-to-day departmental operations and strategy on curriculum, assessment, teaching, learning, purchasing, and staff matters. Mirroring your requirements, I budget and oversee the scheduling, planning, hosting, and promotion of home and away sports events, including training and monitoring coaches and teams and coordinating equipment and venues. I also create and promote events for the after-school sports program, which instil a sense of school spirit and community between teachers, students, and parents.

In addition to my professional experience, I hold a Master of Educational Leadership, a Bachelor of Exercise Science, and a Level 2 First Aid with CPR and Anaphylaxis qualification.

I have enjoyed my time at Elite Academy immensely. As the school has decided to teach online this year due to the global pandemic, my role is no longer active. I am therefore seeking a stimulating opportunity with another school where I can make a similarly positive impact.
