Work in 2025 is a little… complicated. People are optimistic—yet exhausted. More productive—yet rarely hitting a full eight hours. Excited about AI—yet secretly wondering if their robot coworkers are plotting a takeover.
To hear it straight from the source, Kickresume ran 11 surveys throughout 2025, gathering responses from 16,119 people worldwide. We asked about everything from office playlists and secret “ghost” days off to mental health, imposter syndrome, salaries, AI, and career optimism.
The results? Honest, sometimes awkward, occasionally shocking, and always telling. Together, they show what life on the job is really like in 2025—from the people actually living it.

How we gathered the data
The data in this infographic comes from 11 Kickresume surveys conducted in 2025. Each survey focused on a single topic related to work, careers, or workplace culture.
All surveys were conducted online and completed anonymously to encourage honest responses. Participants included students, fresh graduates, full-time employees, managers, and freelancers from around the world, across a wide range of industries and age groups.
Survey questions combined multiple-choice and opinion-based formats. Results were analyzed and summarized by Kickresume’s research and content team, with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and real-world relevance.
Unless stated otherwise, percentages are rounded to the nearest whole number.
