As a Recreation Coordinator with 2 years of experience working with senior citizens, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

In my most recent position as Recreation Assistant at Sunnybank Seniors Centre, I created and implemented individual and group recreation programs for 70 members, drawing upon my extensive knowledge of social work and creative arts therapy. Mirroring your requirements, I designed activities to engage clients, stimulate cognitive and physical ability, and encourage social interaction. 

My approach to recreation activities is drawn from learner-centred pedagogy, utilising both educational research and evidence-based learning practices. I am also proactive about building strong collaborative relationships with recreational activity providers around the city in order to leverage their expertise and services. Successful examples include weekly dance, yoga, and bowling classes held on site at the centre by external teachers.
