As an Addiction Counselor with 4 years of experience in providing clinical and community-based services to individuals suffering from substance use disorders, I apply with enthusiasm for this role.

I am currently a Substance Abuse Counselor at Halliwell Health, where I provide assessment and individualized treatment to outpatient clients across Sunnybank County. Mirroring your requirements, I deliver individual/group/family therapy and psycho-educational services, referring clients to other resources as needed. I also work closely with local service agencies to coordinate cases, and act as a consultant for law enforcement and courts when called upon. This is an extremely challenging role which entails the meticulous handling of up to 300 cases at any one time. 

This builds upon my previous role an Addiction Counselor with Jacksonville Prison Services, where I  provided case management for offenders completing substance abuse education programs. I am incredibly proud of my success rate, with 73% of attendees still sober one year post-graduation.

In addition to my experience, I hold a Master of Psychology, a Bachelor of Social Work, and am a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). I work calmly under stress, deftly defuse tense situations, and treat every client with respect and empathy.
