In my most recent position as Activity Therapist at Sunnybank Correctional Facility I designed, instructed, and mentored 63 clients in a program of individual and group activities of a physical, social, and cultural nature. Drawing upon my extensive knowledge of social work, physical therapy, and creative arts therapy, I worked closely with the therapeutic team to establish individual treatment goals, coordinate therapy, monitor client progress, record clinical notes, and prepare reports.

My approach to activity therapy is based on a client-centred pedagogy, utilizing both educational research and evidence-based learning practices. Activities were designed to engage clients, stimulate physical and cognitive ability, and encourage social interaction.
