Job Description

Ahana is looking for a senior cloud architect to join the CTO’s architecture group. The cloud architect will help drive the overall technical strategy for Ahana’s cloud-managed service. In addition to helping to drive broad strategic direction, the cloud architect must be a hands-on contributor, willing to write code, run unit tests and benchmarks, do troubleshooting, and otherwise be willing to engage in all areas of the development lifecycle.

The candidate must be an excellent communicator as the position requires interacting with other architects, senior developers, and product management leaders from across Ahana to drive the necessary technical direction and initiatives.

Responsibilities and Competencies

• 10 plus years of hands-on experience developing scalable, robust, manageable, and secure enterprise-class SaaS applications delivered via AWS, Azure, or Google cloud platforms. Experience developing such services via Docker and Kubernetes is a major plus.
• Current knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, and cloud infrastructure technologies including storage, messaging, monitoring, logging, and security services is a must.
• Expertise in the current best practices and technologies used for deployment automation, continuous integration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and all other aspects of the lifecycle management of cloud-managed services is required.
• Experience deploying and managing distributed database systems is a major plus.
• Experience with the full-stack technologies involved in building full-stack web applications (such as React, node.js, Java ) is a major plus.
• Experience with cloud native technologies like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and other AWS technologies like EKS, SQS, RDS and more
• A masters or PhD in computer science is a major plus.
• The drive to succeed in a fast-paced startup environment is required.
