Software Engineer - Java (m/f/*) at Ultra Tendency

Our Engineering organization is growing, and we’re now looking for a (Senior) Software Engineer to join our team supporting our global growth.

As (Senior) Software Engineer - Java, you will write high quality code in Java or Scala, implement microservices and other backend applications running in the cloud or in client data centers. You will bring experience and a collaborative attitude to tackle challenging projects with your team.

Job requirements

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Successfully contribute to cutting edge customer projects, working in challenging environments
• Support development teams in an agile environment with feature implementation; automate testing of data-driven applications
• Collaborate with UT teams in Europe and Nepal, as well as partnering with the tech department of our customers
• Learn new big data technologies and make a difference by bringing ideas to improve the quality or development methodology of the team
• Communicate effectively with your team and management.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment and the ability to adapt to new projects
• At least 3 years of experience in software development using Java, ideally proficient with SpringBoot & Microservices
• Solid computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, and programming skills in distributed systems, networking, and parallel computing environments) and work experience in agile environments
• Familiar with software engineering concepts such as clean code, SOLID, KISS & TDD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
