Cloud Engineer (AWS) at XM

As our new Cloud Engineer, you will join a team who deals with cutting-edge technologies every day and strives to utilize cloud services to their limits. You will be taking part in Solution and Architectural designs as well as introducing and proposing new technologies through well tested Proof-of-Concepts. Additionally, you will participate in defining policies and procedures regarding Cloud Adoption Roadmaps, documentation, guidance, and training, and then driving those same methods from conception to completion.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Participate in proposals for cloud solutions & architectures
• Research and introduce new technologies and solutions
• Implement Proof of Concepts and drive solutions through their full life-cycle
• Participate in defining policies & procedures (cloud adoption, write documentations & guides)
• Investigate current infrastructure and solutions as well as provide recommendations for migrating or revamping them
• Help to organize and provide internal workshops and training

Main requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar discipline
• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position or possession of AWS Associate Solutions Architect certification
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (ideally Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic etc)
• Strong organizational, communicational and documentation skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong team player

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Experience in working with Linux systems
• Understanding of Database systems
• Knowledge or previous experience in solution design
• Scripting/coding skills (mainly for Lambdas with Python, NodeJS or Go)
• SysOps skills (understanding of networking & security principles)
• Understanding of CI/CD principles
