We are looking for an Account Manager Lead who will own both expansion (cross-sell + up-sell) quota and gross retention target for our current customer base targeted at the Mid-Market level. You will identify opportunities to expand revenue from current customers through understanding long-term strategic business and people goals.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Build and identify opportunity signals and drive additional revenue streams (up-sell, cross-sell, etc.). Make touchpoints with our customers to identify opportunities for growth within our platform
  • Taking ownership and accountability of the accounts, and opportunity process, and working with the sales and services teams to success.
  • Consult with customers on their internal processes and challenge leaders to drive change across their organization.
  • Create strategies and account forecasts to successfully drive ongoing account growth.

In the first 30 days…

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Magic’s value propositions and connect that knowledge directly to key stakeholders.
  • You will have experience working with high-value customers and have the knowledge and drive to win new business and grow existing customers with a focus on mid-market level.
  • Partner with the Client Relations Team team to deliver key commercial and strategic account touch points throughout the customer subscription year across your entire book of business (approximately x customers)
  • Partake in the kick-off call and oversee the initial implementation and onboarding process in collaboration with the Client Relations Team.

In the first 90 days…

  • Be able to confidently present our full product suite to existing customers to own up-sell and cross-sell.
  • Partner with the Client Relations team on the Customer Journey from the time a customer commits to work with us to the renewal
  • Articulate and update customers on product offerings
  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities in your assigned Book of Business


  • Must have 3 or 5+ years of mid-market account management (Depending on our OTE)
  • Industry background: Saas, IT Services, or Fintech
  • Pre-Series C startup experience
  • Quota carrying AM Cross & Up-sell
  • Max book size of 75-100
  • Executive & C-Level persona client-facing
  • Business degree holder
  • Preferably ex-college athlete

  • Positive attitude, empathy, and high energy
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical messages in a clear and simple way
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals within an existing customer base at the small business or mid-market level
  • Ability to manage a high number of accounts/opportunities while maintaining focus on goals
