Resumen del puesto:

Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineers are professionals with an extensive background in computer science - primarily software engineering – who possess a creative mind and know how to think on their feet. They also have to possess a lot of personal integrity, since they are the safe keepers of the company’s resume. Should they make any questionable calls concerning any of their responsibilities and a product falters in the hands of a client, it can greatly damage their firm due to rumors and an increase in client mistrust. They are involved in tasks that include reviewing source code, configurations, and overall design. What is more, they usually break this process up into goals like verifications and measurements, which is supposed to aid them in the end goal of assuring that the final product meets company and governmental standards. The salary of a QA Engineer is around 40k Pounds Sterling annually in the United Kingdom.

How to write your Quality Assurance Engineer resume?

Just follow our resume guide! Other than that, this particular resume stood out for a number of different reasons. No wonder it succeeded at EPAM. Let's take a look at what can YOU take away from this resume and use it in yours.

1. List what skills you could provide your employers with

It’s good to have some sort of “introducer” on your resume, so that the recruiter can quickly get a picture of what kind of worker you are and what you can or cannot do.  A list of skills will prove to be useful especially for a highly technical position such as this one. Recruiters will be able to assess what kinds of tests and measures you could be performing as the first thing after viewing your CV.

Skills Summary

  • "Conducting testing on all stages as part of regular SLDC"

  • "Identification of test requirements based on business requirements"

  • "Defect management with Jira"

  • "Test design for automation; testing documentation creation and maintenance"

2. Describe specifically what your responsibilities were in previously held positions

As someone who basically tests for quality, there are very many things you can come across. Moreover, there are many tasks that the employer might expect you to perform. Hence, it is good to form their expectations to a certain extent by giving them an account of what you can do for them.

QA Engineer / BETLAB (05/2018 – 11/2018)

  • "Requirements analysis, design reviews(of new features starting from the planning phase."

  • "Development and maintenance of test cases according to the functional specification."

  • "Issues management(Jira), BI incidents management."

  • "Web application test case automation (webdriver.io + JavaScript)."

  • "Releases sign-off responsibility."

3. Add any relevant credentials as evidence of your expertise

If you do, provide any accounts or actual qualifications that can prove that you can use the tools and possess the skills that you claim to have. Simply describing what you can and cannot do, or what you did does not say much on its own about the actual result of your work, or how smoothly you handled the situation. Something that gives you an evaluation does.
