It is with much interest and excitement that I apply for the Summer Engineering Intern job within Perk Corporation, Inc. in East Syracuse, NY. To shortly introduce myself, my name is Tomas Lindblom and I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. At the university, I am not only among the top 5% of students with the best academic results but I am also pro-actively involved in multiple extracurricular activities, such as Business Club, Engineering Society, and Riding Society. Moreover, I served as a Class Representative for one year and this tremendous experience has helped me to develop the crucial ability to work in team environments and allowed me to acquire excellent leadership and time management skills.

On top of my education, I worked as an Engineering Intern for three months at Cubic Corporation, Inc. last summer. Besides completing professional quality inspections and analyzing and evaluating multiple company operational procedures and processes in order to increase efficiency, I:

• Developed detailed engineering plans, completed and interpreted blueprints, and collaborated with colleagues to optimize the layout and minimize unnecessary costs.
• Produced project equipment lists, maintained various hardware and other equipment, and assisted in multiple project management activities.
• Identified and reported any engineering problematic issues and proposed solutions for them.

During my time there, I was recognized multiple times for constantly performing excellent work and I was also awarded Intern of the Month once. Next, I am a performance-driven professional offering a strong attention to detail and accuracy and exceptional multitasking and organizational skills which are necessary for the role. Finally, I possess a well-developed technological expertise and the experience with multiple industry software programs, including Fusion 360, Solid Edge, NX, and Catia.
