Create a Resume from LinkedIn

Recruiters expect you to have both a resume and LinkedIn profile when applying to a next job.

Sounds like twice the work, doesn’t it? After all, your resume probably contains much of the information they can already find in your LinkedIn profile.

It doesn’t have to. Now you can download your painstakingly optimized LinkedIn profile to your computer. And convert it into a beautiful resume.

How to turn your LinkedIn into a resume?

We’re going to use a simple online resume builder to do this. It’s called Kickresume and it makes the whole process stupidly easy.

Your LinkedIn profile and resume should remain different. Why?

Great. You’ve converted your LinkedIn profile to a resume. But how do you edit it?

Remember, your resume should not contain every bit of information your LinkedIn profile does. They’re different. Keep these differences in mind when polishing your newly converted resume:

  • Specifically tailored to every job position you’re applying to.
  • It exists to get you invited to an interview.
  • Every resume can have different visuals.
  • Usually doesn’t include a photo.
  • One or two-pages long.
  • Only a very limited number of people can see it.

  • Contains all information about your professional life.
  • It exists to connect you with other people from your field.
  • Every LinkedIn profile looks the same.
  • Includes a photo.
  • Can be REALLY long.
  • Almost anyone can see it.
