As an experienced Barista with a very thorough appreciation for all aspects of the coffee industry, I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.

I joined Hearty Coffee in 2016 as a Trainee Barista, where I learned the ropes of how a successful roaster and retailer operates. I eagerly absorbed everything I possibly could from my peers. This dedication saw me promoted to Barista and now Lead Barista, where my responsibilities are as diverse as they are interesting. In addition to knowledgeably brewing coffee and serving guests, I am actively involved in cupping events, pop-up events, and training and mentoring new colleagues. 

I have a robust respect for back-of-shop procedures that guests may never witness, but which directly impact their individual experiences. For example, I’m not afraid to help junior staff polish and scrub, refresh and replace, or clean and maintain equipment, stock, and facilities. I treat colleagues, management, and vendors with respectful consideration, and go out of my way to create awesome memories for our guests each and every time.

I have loved every minute of my time at Hearty Coffee. I am now ready to take on a challenging opportunity in a new environment, where my passion and abilities will have a positive impact.
